Usually on here asking about building PCs, but looking for help with my daughter's Chromebook this time. She says she gets all kinds of pop up ads and it's really glitchy. Research tells me it's not the usual malware type stuff to expect on my PC and that I can't even install something like McAfee. Anyone give me some direction here?

Thanks.

I thought my understanding was that you can't install anti software on a Chromebook?

Also, what would be an add on if she had installed any?

Thanks.

The net is full of browser hijacks, so i can't tell you which one. A browser reset and installing Adblock Plus should fix everything.

You can install browser addons. Either Adblock or ublock origin suggested above will do the trick. But first of all, reset chrome.
