Hmm, if it was something with crumbs, dust, dirt, or something similar I would say sure, but something sticky? That is a little tougher.
You would need to try and find a way to harden it all first, which would make it easier to remove. While it is still sticky, you risk breaking something in there which you don't want to do.
A little rubbing alcohol (just be careful how you use it, really careful) on a q-tip might help to dry it up and get it to a state where it is easier to remove.
