clevo laptop cards

I have a clevo 170PHM,I7 2630,
It has an Nvidia gtx485m 2g graphics card which has started to QUIT!
Can a 670mx.3g Be put into this a s a replacement???
Any issues and bios would be a help?

Hi,

In theory it should work just fine because they looks the same. Just make sure you uninstall the old Nvidia driver after you install the new GPU.

Hi, Thanks for replying,
I have had some detail info from Metabox Australia, They say the 670MX will Not work!
It has to be only the M 670;675 or 680 M.
They would require flashing the VBIOS ?
IIf the wrong bios are installed from where obtained it will beep and shut down?
Will also need a customized Nvidia graphics driver for correct installed.

An AMD 7970M 1.2 Woils also work (NOT the 1.1)

All a bit geek to me I am afraid! But I guess I had better start learning or find help!
