Clunking noise from hard drive being caused by the laptop itself?

My hard drive makes a loud clunking spinning sound fairly often. I assumed it was a bad drive. I took a hard drive from my tower and tried it out. The noise is still there and I have no idea what it is. Anyone got any ideas?

Only moving parts of laptop are heatsink fan, hdd, optical drive, so you have two choices left.

Finally found the problem.. There was a screw in one of the fans. That was annoying.
