I played it and must say there's a hell of a lot of blood splashes..... :) but I still prefer the graphics of the Crysis, Prototype kind.....🙁
I'd love to see this studio come upto that kinds of a thing.... somehow the Modern Warfare graphics were better......

The game sucked, lots of time wasting crap and very little game play.

It is very annoying when games are so expensive and there is less and less content.

I'm going to differ from most of you here and say that CoD: Black Ops singleplayer was great.

I actually enjoyed the material, even if it was fictional - I appreciate that it the development team actually took the time to research actual locations in the world like Rebirth Island.

well, after reading you all i guess i've made up my mind and i'm not buying it... thanks for the comments and feedbacks and for a, in the end, very simple choice then... disapointed though, i have to say... i'm having great fun with CS beta anyway so i'll stick to it, and be happy about the 15€ i spent for it and the many nice hours i already had with it...

I don't know why some of you guys are talking about single player. No one cares about single player.

The console version added online splitscreen to multiplayer, this is a HUGE feature.

The PC version brought back dedicated servers.

Its over... We might as well get used to the idea of playing CSS, BF2 and Arma2 for the rest of our gaming life. Since we wont see any new decent PC FPS anymore. To anyone who still haven't figured out why the game look like sh*t, its a cheap xbox port.

[citation][nom]howiejcee[/nom]Are you kidding me?The main reason BO outsold MW2 records is because of good marketing and hype AND the huge possibility that there's tons of people out there who bought MW2 as their first COD title and/or expected BO to be just as good if not better. In other words, BO played off the success of MW2 and also had good marketing which lead to good initial sales. Unfortunately, it's a lousy game except for the single player story (AI still sucked though, you only play against aimbots, nothing more than that).[/citation]

MW2 was a pile of sh*t that was only enjoyed by 12 years old noobs who've never seen a shooter before.

[citation][nom]lasaldude[/nom]What was horridly pathetic about it? Back-up your Statement with some reason please so I can understand.[/citation]

OP is right, for a change.

Ive been playing PC FPS since Wolfenstein 3d. Well if you cant see by yourself why BO is horribly pathetic you are either a noob or you lack judgment. I rest my case.

And here I was hoping Diablo 3 would hold this crown. Then again, thats like comparing McDonald's to the local Japanese Steak House...of course the crappy massive appeal will win.

Played through most of the single player. The gameplay is extremely linear. COD games have always been like that, but with COD4, you didn't really notice because the levels were well designed and the objectives varied. Now in Codblops (COD7) all the levels are pretty much the same. The graphics are OK, but I wouldn't say they are any better than COD6, which was also extremely disappointing. Multiplayer can make up for these shortcomings, but with no independent dedicated servers that allow all types of modding / customization, that's really a no-go there as well (though better than COD6).

COD4 is still my favorite FPS game in the past 5+ years and I still play it once or twice a week. I'd love to get behind another incarnation of the series, but they keep making terrible games. Its not for lack of time / money, its just the top level design decisions that are ruining them. I own COD1, 2, 4, and 5. Hopefully 8 will be better so I can buy that too.
