Does color gamut differences between a laptop that is outputting to a monitor through HDMI cause problems, such as the laptop not allowing for a higher color gamut even though it supports it? I am just wondering because I plan to buy a monitor that I can connect to my laptop for college and gaming to get those crisp lines when using CAD of BIM software or just better-looking text.
My Laptop Specs are:
ASUS ROG Strix G17: ASUS ROG Strix G17 17.3" Gaming Laptop - Blk (Intel i7-10750H/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/GeForce RTX 2060/Win10) | Best Buy Canada
Intel Core i7-10750H
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (mobile chip since an actual 2060 can't fit in a laptop)
16Gb of 2933 Mhz ram
Windows 10
66 Wh battery
Display: 17.3 in, 1920x1080 resolution, FHD 16:9; 120Hz; 250nits; NTSC: 45%; WV
Can anyone recommend a good monitor with a higher color gamut and resolution than what I have now, in Canada*, like on amazon.ca (mainly amazon.ca)?
