I wish there was an active and vibrant Commodore scene.. you don't hear
anything about it these days..

Chris, just head on over to the newsgroups, comp.sys.cbm and
alt.c64. Plenty of talk over there. Also there are the various Commodore
chats (for example, #c64friends... plug... plug...). There are the many
C= websites; for news, the best would be http://www.c64.sk and
http://cbm.videocam.net.au Then there are the various C= mailing lists,
like Homestead, Commodor, COPS, CommodoreOne, ACUG0447, AusCBM, etc. Then
there are Commodores at various shows, like the Classic Gaming Expo, the
Classic Gaming Expo UK, Vintage Computer Festival, LUCKI Spring Expo,
Chicago C= Expo, Commodore Vegas Expo, World of Commodore in Toronto, the
quarterly Commodore Show in the Netherlands, and various C= parties.

Truly,
