Compac replace HD

Err1 Err3 I can not boot from my XP Pro Just replace the HD

I believe this message is referring to missing boot information on the hard drive. This could be because of corruption, however it sounds like the drive is new and has not yet been set up.

If so, you'll want to go into the bios and choose to boot from CD before the Hard Drive. Or boot options and choose to boot from CD. Then you'll be able to load XP Pro from the disc.
