I saw a low budget compaq presario cq56 http://presariocq56-115dxlaptop.info/ laptop which I wanna use for XNA development (requires shader model 2). Do you think it will do it?

That low budget laptop will do XNA development work. It has Shader model 4.0 graphics. But that $350 price is too high
A better price for that laptop is $300 Compaq Presario CQ56-115DX Notebook @ BestBuy

Yes, it has shader model 4, but hope the gfx card will be able to handle 2D gfx.
I dont wanna play modern games with it, only 2D Games development and playing is planned, and some office, net-working. Hope Unity will also run on it- ok it is 3D.
