Compaq restore process failed

Compaq presario V3000 series shuts down during hardrive restore from DVD process, help?

Make sure it's not getting too hot. Restore discs have been known to fail. If you can't get it to work, download drivers for your notebook from hp's site, and then torrent a Windows OEM disc of whatever version you're using. Install it and activate with the CD key at the bottom of your notebook.
