Comparison between laptops for gaming

Hey all! It's about time for me to upgrade my PC. I'm a student that likes to do some intense gaming, so I'd like your suggestions! My budget can't really go over $1800, but I'd like to spend less than that if possible. I don't need to have the best of the best, as you can tell since I need a laptop, but something cost-efficient is preferable.

I've narrowed it down to between these two machines, a Dell Inspiron 15 or an HP Pavilion 17.

Opinions on these models would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to offer your own suggestions as well!

Get this ASUS ROG GL502VS-DB71 and enjoy it for very long time. It can easily handle any games for 4-5years on medium-high settings or above. There will be no need of spending on a new laptop for very long time.
