i have an older Sony tv that has composite outputs and would like to know if there is any way to convert signal to hdmi. I would like to convert cable box from composite to hdmi

If you're replacing the older Sony TV, contact your cable company and get a new HD cable box with HDMI output. You'll get a much better HD picture, if you replace both the TV and the cable box.
