Whenever I'm in a Skype call and playing a video game (ex. Minecraft) at the same time, after a while of playing my computer will ALWAYS crash. It's really annoying and I need a solution for it...

One of my friends told me that I need a new hard drive, and if I do, can somebody please suggest a not too expensive (I'm will to pay up to $200) hard drive that is great for video games and will fit in a laptop? Thanks.

I have also tried un-installing programs and it doesn't work.
The only things running in my task bar are:
Skype
MyWinLocker
Intel Rapid Storage Technology
HP Digital Imaging Monitor
Solve PC Issues

Do I need all of those?

Also, here are my computer specifications:
Manufacturer: Acer
Model: Aspire 5741G
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU - M430 @ 2.27GHz - 2.27GHz
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.87 GB usable)
System Type: 64-bit Operating System

Please let me know what I have to do to stop the crashing!
Thanks so much!

How can I check the laptop's temperature, how do I know if it is overheating, and if it is, how can I fix it?

Thanks

Will do. I also found a website that had instructions on how to clean the fan:
http://www.laptoptin.com/news/2013/10/10/acer-5741g-notebook-disassemble-to-clean-the-fan-and-replace-the-memory-and-hard-drive/ (scroll down to near the bottom, will that work?)

before dismantling the laptop try to push air in the vent of the fan if you made a mistake when you dismantle it or put it back you could brick it and it will be uselees so be carefull doing this .

About using the can of compressed air and shooting air into the vent- can I use a blow dryer and put it on cold (so that it doesn't use hot air)? I don't have any other way, and I would have to go out and get a can of compressed air.

if this is on idle the cpu and gpu are running so this is why your system is crashing after the dust off you may also need to buy a laptop cooler that plug in a usb port http://laptop-coolers-review.toptenreviews.com/

Alright.
I'm going to go to WalMart tomorrow to get a can of condensed air. (http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/fellowes-canned-air-10oz/6000036232958)

Since I'm on a budget and can't order anything online, this is the laptop cooler that I will probably get: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/gear-head-neoprene-laptop-cooling-wedge-w-built-in-stand/1309630189.p?id=mp1309630189&skuId=1309630189

Would the cooler and dusting off the fan improve the performance of my laptop? It used to be a lot better, but the performance has dropped in the past couple months. What else would improve the performance?

Thanks :3
