computer is on but monitor is black

Hi , ok so my computer froze yesterday and i restarted it by holding the power button. When i did that, the computer is on but the monitor is black, I tried various ways including cleaning the memory card with a brush , resetting BIOS settings by removing cmos battery and reinsert it after 5 in. I connect my laptop to my monitor and it works so this proves that my monitor has no problems. But my monitor displays nothing when i on my computer. Any help ?

Hi,

You mentioned that when you connect an external monitor it works normally with the display working properly but using the built in display it doesn't show anything right? That only means that it could a bad display of your laptop. You can try to reseat the connection of the LCD to the motherboard making sure that it's seated properly. If these will not work I would suggest to replace the built in display already.
