Hey guys, I'm getting my first computer here in about a month (laptop actually) and I was just wondering if I could do a few things to it to help out it's total lifespan, while also upgrading performance.
The stock specs are as follows:
•SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card reader
•Intel HD graphics
•1TB 5400 RPM SATA hard drive
•8GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM
•15.6" diagonal Truelife LED-backlit HD display with 1366x768 resolution
•2.2GHz Intel i5-5200U dual-core processor with 3MB cache, up to 2.5GHz
I know that I want about 12 GB RAM total, and was wondering if that is possible to do, and if so, any recommendations on what to buy, where, brand, name that kind of thing..
Also, I wanted to make the graphics a bit better. From my limited reading so far, I understand on a laptop, upgrading graphics can be rather difficult.

But yeah that's it! Any tips, comments, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!

Can't upgrade the graphics. Display resolution is mediocre (but as long as you're satisfied, that's the main thing).

Can't give advice on RAM upgrades without knowing how many slots there are (likely 2), what kind of RAM it has now, and the size (GB) of the current stick(s).
