Computer only running half RAM, none has been added.

I have an HP Envy 14 (hpk-hstnn-180c(b)) running windows 7 home premium. It is only running the original 6gb of RAM that came with the computer, Control Panel>System shows 6gb but task manager only shows 3, nothing has been added to this system any ideas?

Did you change the page file to 6gb? Is the os 64 bit? Do you have an AMD CPU/ APU?
