computer won't turn on

I have an ASUS X200M notebook. This computer has an internal battery. The problem with my computer is that it won't turn on even after I've tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds. When I tried plugging in my charger, the light under the battery icon would not light up. What should I do?! Please HELP!

Essentially you will most likely need to replace the battery ... and one these models this means removing the case screws, carefully popping the ribbon cable off and taking out the battery. My advice is to purchase a new battery online, then take it to a reputable laptop guy who will swap it out for you for the cost of the labour.

as the battery light does not turn on when power adapter in plugged in then check that the power adapter is outputting the correct voltage using a multi-meter or volt meter.
