I currently own an Asus X43SJ laptop, which has an acceptable configuration (Pentium Dual Core/4GB RAM/500GB HDD/1GB NVIDIA GT520M/Win 7). I was looking forward to buy a new laptop. But I was confused between two laptops that have different configurations.

1) A Dell Vostro 3546 (4th Gen Core i5 4210U/4GB RAM/1TB HDD/2GB NVIDIA GT820M/Win 8.1 or Ubuntu)
2) A Lenovo G50-45 (AMD A8-6410/8GB RAM/1TB HDD/2GB AMD Radeon R5/Win 8.1 or Free DOS)

I primarily use my laptop for multimedia purposes, which include heavy gaming (mostly), music, movies, Internet, Photoshop, Movie Maker and a bit of Office purposes (Word and PowerPoint mostly). Which configuration will suit my requirements better?

This is from a review
Radeon R5 6410 is an integrated Graphics Card in the APU A8-6410.

It is based on the Graphics Core Next Architecture and offers 128 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. While the central unit is set at 800MHz, the memory bus-width will be of 64-bit, as the processor only support single channeled RAM. The memory clock runs at up to 933MHz.
The Graphics Card also shares the processor's L2 Cache of 2MB. Therefore, it reduces the need to resort to its memory bandwidth.

Overall, the Graphics Card's performance depends a lot on the system configuration. Best case scenario, expect performance similar to an integrated Intel HD 4200.
The card is only suited for gaming below 720p and all modern demanding games can be played at least on low settings.

This is some info on the Geforce card.
GeForce 820M 2GB is an entry-level Graphics Card still based on the ageing Fermi architecture.
It is based on the GF117 Core, which is a 28nm Core of the Fermi architecture. As a result, the card offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs, on a 64-bit memory interface of standard DDR3. The central unit's speed will vary from laptop to laptop but the most common frequency is 775MHz, which goes up to 937MHz, in turbo mode.
It's thus a rebadged GeForce GT 720M and will offer identical performance to it. Therefore, it offers performance identical to today's powerful integrated graphics and ends up being an useless acquisition.

It doesn't look like either will be a great option for gaming.

Thanks @tommyducker19 and @BrandonYoung for the prompt response. By the way the Radeon R5 GPU offered in the Lenovo was a 230. I understand all the factors, but my only problem is that I'm running low on budget and have to look for a reasonable option only. So I think that the Dell would be a better option than the Lenovo, isn't it?
