connect external drive to aspire one

I have a ONE 722 Aspire. I need to connect an ODD via usb. Which port on the Aspire should I use for data and which port for power?

The external HDD connects to any usb port. The usb port provides both data and power. One cable does it all.

Thanks. I was confused about the extra usb on the ODD but found that it is for power to the ODD and connects to the port nearest to the Aspire power port.
