Connect Sony KDL-46HX700 TV to av sender

Am trying to connect my older Sony TV to an av sender/receiver, with the sender next to the Sony tv and the receiver is in the bedroom with the other tv.
The av sender has only RCA(white/red/yellow) ports and one s-video port.
I can get audio ok, but am having trouble with the video.
Have tried connecting the video RCA cable to different ports on the Sony tv, but to no avail.

Your TV has a single monitor OUT, make sure you are using that connection. Remote video devices are not used for a TV to TV connection but for a cable box/DVD player, etc... to a TV in another area. It may also be that it can only send the video out if the source is connected to the corresponding video in right next to it.
