Solved! Connect speakers to receiver with turntable

How do I connect my speakers to my receiver for my turntable? Turntable is Panasonic technics direct drive automatic turntable systems SL-1700, receiver is Yamaha natural sound stereo amplifier AVC 50, speakers are Polk Audi RT151. Does the color of the wires matter? On one speaker, green is neg and black is pos; it’s connected green neg black pos on receiver as well. Other speaker white is neg and red is pos and it correlates on the receiver. Just got a new needle and can hear The music coming from the Needle but not speakers. This system hasn’t been used in about 35-40 years. Thanks!

The power indicator is working on the receiver?

The correct input is selected by the input selector switch? (Phono)

Did you connect the turntable to the red and white PHONO input of the receiver? You ave to connect the ground cable from the turntable to the screw "GND" next the two connectors as well.

Cable colors doesn´t matter, pos and neg is important.

By using two speakers, use the short bars between Main in and Front on the output section (see manual option: (2))
