Connecting a USB HDD to the Xperia Tablet Z

There is a possibility to connect a portable 2.5"HDD (WD Passport 160GB - no need external ac adapter) on this tablet?
To another one (Asus M102A) it is normally. Or has Sony another reason?

Yes, but all depend son the power requirement for the drive.

got that otg cable
and confirm that all depends on the power from tablet battery = from sony xperia it is not enough :-(
maybe best solution seems wifi dlna server WG-C20...
