Connecting home network to wifi receiver

My receiver has found my computer on the home network but cannot open the music files.

Have you changed the sharing properties of the music files so they can be accessed over the network? Right click on the folder, chose properties, choose sharing, change the network sharing and security to share the folder on the network. May have to reboot for the change to apply.
