How to connect a panansonic sa HT740 home theater system to a dynex tv with direct tv satilite ? Are they compatible

I think page 6 of the manual has the instructions to connect to a TV. Either the Direct TV box or the TV should have audio out to connect to the Panasonic system.

The only input the HTS has is stereo analog audio.
If the TV has a headphone jack or DTV box has analog audio outputs then use them.
If the only output you can find is digital audio output you will need a digital to analog converter to connect the HTS.
