Connecting two laptops to monitor

I want to play on 144hz on my monitor, except my laptop only has hdmi 1.4 port to send video info to my monitor. So my question can I use the processor and gpu of my "gaming" laptop (Lenovo y700) and the ports of my other laptop (acer swift 1) to connect to my monitor via USB c at 144 hz (by connecting my Lenovo via an hdmi port adapter to USB 3 into the acer swift, then USB type c into monitor)

Or can I simply upgrade the home port of my gaming laptop or finally just attach a egpu to my Lenovo via pcie, but I heard it decreases performance from 100 to 30
