Hello,

I bought a couple of Yamaha HS7, but I'm having trouble connecting them to my TV. The model is almost the same as this one - http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-43UF770V - and has the following jacks:

RF In: 2
Full Scart: 1
Component in (Y,Pb,Pr) + Audio: 1
Digital Audio Out (Coaxial/ Optical): 1(Optical)
PC Audio Input : 1
LAN: 1
Headphone out : 1
RS-232C (Control / SVC) : 1

What kind of cables do I need to connect the speakers to the TV? Would I also need an amp or it's not necessary?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
You need an amp as it seems your TV has only signal level outs.....which is pretty much normal for TVs.

Most any stereo amp will work...even an old receiver or something like that.

Come out of the headphone out with a 1/8" stereo phone plug to most likely two RCA plugs which will plug into your amp/receiver and then wire the speakers to the amp/receiver.
