Control Who Can Send You LinkedIn Invitations

LinkedIn is a social networking website that is mostly used by professionals and allows people from similar or different professions to connect with each other. Its default configuration is that anyone can send you invitations to connect. Although the default settings are ideal if you are open to expand your social network from a business perspective, you may not want to be contacted by people you don't know..

In order to respect your privacy, LinkedIn allows you to restrict the people who can send you LinkedIn invitations. With such restrictions, only people who either know your email address or the ones who you have imported from your contacts can send you the invitations to connect.

Here is how you can control who can send you LinkedIn invitations:

    ■Turn on your computer system.
■Open your favorite web browser.(E.g. Google chrome in this demonstration).
■Type www.linkedin.com in the address bar and press Enter to open the website.
■On the Sign In window, provide your login credentials in the appropriate fields, and click the Sign In button.
