Convert a picture into a 3D model

I'd like to know if there's a software program that can take a picture (several pictures if available) of a building and convert the picture (s) into a 3D model. I am particularly interested in the modeling the layout of the roofs of buildings. In general the pictures would be supplied via google streetview and/or satellite type google earth photos.

not sure of your personal 3D caabilities, but there are a few, 2d to 3d conversion programs arriving on the open market this year. You can even use a couple of Kinect hacks to achieve a reasonable result.
Try Autodesk's photofly, now called 123D catch, this is/was a free service for generating 3D models from mulitple still images:
