I have recently bought the Dell Inspiron 15r (i7 2670QM, 4GB RAM, Geforce GT525m 1GB).

I on occasions use the laptop for playing games (because it is very capable).

Will my CPU and GPU overheat lets say whilst playing Shogun 2 on LOW. Is it worth buying a cooling pad or something similar, if so can you please checkout www.eBay.com.au as this is the site where I will be buying one if necessary.

Please give me your thoughts and recommendations on which cooling pad to buy, Thanks.

Just make sure that the laptop exhaust vent has penty of room to let the hot air flow out right. Also buy some compress air as you will need to blow the dust out every once in a while.

a cheap cooling pad would not be an bad idea. While cooling has improved a lot in the new gen of sandy bridge and graphic, those lappies still can generate a ton of heat when gaming.

A cooling pad would increase airflow and allow better heat dissipation.

Yes i would get a cooling pad just because extra cooling never hurts anything at all.
Plus with the extra cooling you may not have to play on low seetings.
I use one on my old dell and its still running today.

I've got a pad for my HP laptop, it came with fans but I don't use them since I have no intakes on the bottom of the laptop (and it doesn't make it any cooler). A cooling pad just helps to increase the air flow, without it my temps get up to 90C, but with it they usually sit around 75-80C (room temp 25C).
