Corrupt skype.exe file (can't run or uninstall or repair)

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to read about my problem.

Recently Skype started to crash on start up. I have attempted to reinstall skype using the latest download but it fails. I've also tried to uninstall skype but again it fails, it complains that skype.exe can't be accessed. Now on start up it complains that skype.exe is broken and I can try to repair, but again the repair fails. I'm totally stuck as to how to remove this program and get Skype up and running again. Try booting into safe mode and uninstall from there. You can also try Ccleaner or revo uninstaller and see if that works at removing the program.
