CPU - AMD vs Intel

I have an older HP that I want to replace. It has an AMD A10-6700 with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.7GHz. I am looking at a Refurbished HP from TigerDirect with an Intel Core i5-4570 Quad-Core 3.2GHz CPU. I know this is an old processor I just want to be sure I am not going backwards.

Any insight is welcome, thanks.

That i5 4570 is much better than A10-6700
