CPU questions QUAD vs. Dual

I'm considering getting a machine to run a game (DC Universe Online) with the following minimum system requirement:

2.4 Ghz Dual-Core

Most of the laptops I see advertised are i7 QUAD core, with a core speed around 1.7 Ghz.

Would the i7 be okay for this game or would i need to find either 1) a quad-core processor with a core speed of >2.4 Ghz or 2) a dual-core processor with a core speed of >2.4 Ghz?

I've gotten mixed information on this so far, so I thought I'd bring it up here.

No you'll be fine, it has the turbo feature;therefore, it will raise its clocks too.
Also make sure you have a good VGA.
