Cpu stuck at 0.46 Ghz

My laptop is supposedly run at 2.20 or 2.5 and now it just stay at 0.46ghz even in high performance. Any solution?

idle is fine on .46. running on battery or plug in? what is the exact model of the laptop?

Just check the temperatures, that might be the problem.

My laptop is dell inspiron 3443, usually when on battery it clocked at 800mhz when on plug-in it clocked at 2.5 ghz
