Cpu Temps And Trying To Figure Out If It Fits

So im having really bad cpu temps with the gateway fx Centrino 2 processor and im thinking of switching the cpu to a core i5 and I was wondering wich one was hotter and if the i5 will fit the same mother board as the Centrino 2

You can't install a Core i5 into that laptop, the CPU sockets don't match. It's way too old. If it's getting too hot, clean it out, remove the heatsink, apply new thermal paste and test it after that.
