Cpu upgrade graphics issue

So, first of all sorry for my english if is bad, its not my main language, i have a toshiba satelite l655-1cd and i tried to upgrade the cpu to a i7 740qm that i just bought for a cheap price, the problem is that after installing this cpu theres no image in the screen.
I know that the i7 740qm doesn't have an integrated graphics processor and this might be the issue.
The mobo does have a Ati mobility hd 5430 , i dont really know if it is a dedicated graphics or not, is there any way to make it work?

does it work if you put the old cpu back into the laptop? and where did you find out that i7 740qm work in that laptop?
