Create your own wifi on wired SONY Blueray?

I have a wired streaming SONY blueray player and I am getting sick and tired of stepping over the ethernet cable that goes from my router to my player. ive seen like usb wifi sticks online but would something like that work on a blueray player? or do those only work on computers?

Probably not (unless explicitly specified by the manufacturer). What you could use is a WIFI bridge or gaming adapter. That is a small device that will connect wirelessly to your network and provide an ethernet cable to your Sony.
