Hi,

Right, I'm all set. I created a 5min video clip from my digital camera. Captured it onto disk as an Avi using ULEAD mediastudio pro. Used same to convert to an NTSC VCD MPEG1 file (352x240) at around 50MB.

Used NeroBurn5 to create a native VCD. Now - the problem,

I can use an app called QuickVCD player to view my burnt VCDs fine, however I cannot get my CD/VCD/DVD Player to recognise them (JVC).

Am I making a fundamental mistake here?

Grateful for any advice - even if it is only that I'm being a fool!)

I'd recommend you to experiment with different media. Sometimes, these separate disc devices can be pretty picky.

dude

I have never made a vcd but I have thought about it and have found a lot of good info at:http://www.vcdhelp.com

They have several jvc players listed as being able to read cdrs. Check out the compatibility list. The site also tells about extra steps needed to make a fully vcd compatible cdr. Don't give up until you check it out.

Good luck!

Thanks for the try! I'll browse in more detail later but my JVC (2000) is not listed. It is getting on a bit now (2 years or more old) so maybe I need to think about upgrading anyway!
