Curious about Windows 10 threat after Orange experience

I've been running Windows 10 Pro on my gaming desktop and Windows 10 Home on my laptop for quite a while now, shortly after they introduced the free upgrade program. I have no complaints and I think it's a great operating system but I've been skeptical about running only Windows Defender, Max UAC, Firewall on, and of course I turn off remote connections... Well everything has been fine until today, both of my desktops have turned to an orange solid color background for absolutely no reason, I can revert it back to the solid black but it has reset itself to orange twice now... I dont pirate games/music or visit shady websites is anyone aware of a recent Windows 10 virus/malware? I'm not noticing any other symptons other than random mouse freezing and slowing on my desktop.. Which also made no sense except I recently activated One Drive.

Thanks, Eddy.

Negative. I do not believe so.

Try running malwarebytes or superantispyware if you think it is a malware or virus.
Windows Defender found nothing.

Use the software he recommended to check again, windows defender isn't always updated compared to other firewalls.

''I recently activated One Drive.''''' You most likely have theme sync enabled. Windows will change your desktop background color etc if you have this enabled. So the color change is most likely changing because of your Microsoft account. I'm also pretty sure your performance isn't any different as well.
