This just might be the push I need to switch back to FF. Although the hope of Chrome catching onto this idea may keep me with them for a little while longer.

So maybe a user could come up with a design for FireFox that is as good as Chrome. Or at least better then the Chrome rip off FF4.

That's a really interesting concept, though I'm left wondering...that they'll have to be careful 'cause hackers that way could create malicious codes to infect a computer or change the browser's behavior.
I can't imagine clicking the "back button" and taking me to a porn website, the click forward to take me to a enhancement member one, so on and so forth.

Yeah, actually this reminds me of IE and all the malicious BHO's that so many infections used.

The Firefox Personas and themes are already getting ridiculous so it will be interesting to see if some practical uses come out of this.

Firefox uses a pretty heavy duty virus scanner and filter on its themes and addons site to scan anything that is uploaded there so I'm sure they would filter the new UIs too.

I'm all for this as I bet there are some really good ideas that will come out and the longer it progresses the more and more good ideas you'll get put into a compilation UI. It could potentially set off a whole slew of new ideas for all browsers.

Lets see... how many different ways do you make a BACK button or function? How else would you TYPE or SAY a web address?

We should get some interesting things... but theres only so much you can do with a common use interface. Put the tabs or address bar on the bottom... not difficult, do that today. Opera had that ability for about 10 years.

Belardo, just because you can't think of something new, doesn't mean there isn't an awesome idea waiting to come to life with this. Hence the word, Innovation.

Probably going to be really slow. It's a truly horrible idea. Conformity in browsers allows for websites to have certain expectations, and those expectations allow for a better experience.

If things are all over the place, the web designers will have a harder time optimizing for an expected client experience.

I can no longer use it since a few updates ago.
