Cyberlink powerdirector 8 transitions?

I know this sounds dumb but i cant figure this out at all, how do you add transitions in cyberlink power director 8?

Just go to the transitions section, then choose the transition and drag&drop him in the Time-Line between clips.

I tried that and that is how it is in the vast majority of editing software but for some reason it isn't letting me do that
