D70 28-105 Sig vs. Nikkor

I am buying a Nikon D70 and need more tele power than the kit lens,
which I won't have included as a rarely use wideangle.

Can anyone advise which is better in 28-105mm, a Sigma 3.5-5.6 UCIII
Aspherical, or Nikkor lens in about the same price category?

If Nikkor, which model specifically.

why bother with the 105? 70-105 isn't THAT much difference..

I picked up the Sigma 70-300 API II super zoom macro lens for my D70. With
the macro ability too, its a pretty versatile lens.
