Data receving not matched in hyperterminal

Hi , am successfully installed com port data emulator & traffic generator. My problem is that am create virtual modem and send data from com port data emulator ,but am connecting hyper terminal(virtual port) receiving data not matched, first letter correct but others are unreadable some signs and characters.what to do.

Check you have the correct number of parity bits.

YES THAT ALSO CORRECT
EXAMPLE: SEND DATA "TEST"
RECEIVING DATA IN HYPERTERMINAL "T#!#" lIKE THAT.

Stop bits? I haven't done too much with serial in a while.

All of these things must be configured to match at BOTH ends:

Baud Rate
Data Bits
Parity
Stop Bits
Flow Control


In your case one or more do not match on both ends.

Make sure you choose same flow control from both sides. Emulating a modem, I would stick to hardware (DTR/DSR, or CTS/DTS style).

What king of virtual ports are you using?
