Solution
Was the data/files stored on an SSD or a USB? If so, it might not be recoverable since it's generally gone. If it is a HDD, you can use a program such as Recuva which will allow you to view files that are deleted. Keep in mind that this only works if the physical location of the drive has not been overwritten so the longer the time since you deleted the file, the less chance of recovery. Also, the larger the file, the less chance of recovery as well.
