"[Smedley] explained that if NPD data ends up showing the PS3 version outperforming PC, it's because the tracking service doesn't have access to the Steam sales, which he tells us have been very strong since launch." - http://www.joystiq.com/2011/01/24/smedley-dc-universe-online-is-soes-fastest-seller-yet/

I wouldn't call it crap and find that i am enjoying the content (and length of instances) a lot more than past MMO's. The action is fast, Q times are great, missions are fun/funny, boss fights are engaging but not overly difficult, and it is only the first month.

With more sales and more money reinvested back into the product, this could shape up to be a fun game for a long time. They have some simple issues to fix (UI, chat, balancing), but overall, the launch has been very smooth.

"PC gamers have the added option to sign up for a lifetime subscription by shelling out $200-- that's just over 13 months worth of subscription payments."
lol thats if the game doesn't die before then lol

I wished they had a part of the game for offline story play;just like Phantasy Star Illuminus.
I don't want to be dependent on the internet to play it.

I would not want to read a user guide! It would defeat the purpose of figuring out how the engine works, and take the fun right out of a game!

Games should cost $20 max, games costing $50 are just too expensive!
No wonder they are just not selling;
especially if you can only play them one month. Offline pc games retail for $20. Online mmorph or whatever cost $250 +monthly internet costs?
No thank you!

"Along with a cheaper pricetag, PC gamers have the added option to sign up for a lifetime subscription by shelling out $200-- that's just over 13 months worth of subscription payments. This might actually be a good deal for PC gamers who plan to stick around with the MMORPG for the long run."

Or that could be a really bad deal if the game does not sell enough or does not have enough subscribers resulting in both cases in a shut down of the servers 🙁 .
We all know that it happened before for other MMO games and could happen again.

wait and see
