One of my Phillips DTivo's died (green screen of death). It's one
that I upgraded with a second 80gig HD
I have a few options.
Buy a new DTivo (70 hr) for $100 and hope that DTV will honor their
$50 rebate. Get it now
Buy a remanufactured DTivo (brand and size unknown) for $49.95 from
DTV and wait 5 to 10 days to get it.
Buy the $7.99 a month for a year "protection plan" from DTV and they
will let me swap out the blown Phillips unit for a new DTV 70 hr,
plus cover the other 5 DTivo's and DTV receivers in the house. but I
still have to wait 5 to 10 days to get it.
Or, buy another HD and replace the defective HD in it.
I 'think' option 1 is best.... any thoughts?
