dect headset for ventrilo and audio (not music or gaming)

i'm searching for a decent headset for use with ventrilo and listening to lectures while being free to walk about my house and yard. i do not need music/gaming quality, as i'm just listening to the spoken word, but i must have a mic. bluetooth technology doesn't have the range i'm looking for, so i believe i need dect technology. any ideas in the $125-$150 price range? my wishlist would include a mic that mutes when lifted. thanks so much!
