Watching the CS fanboys hype that game up reminded me of Tactical Ops: Assault on Terror. I always did like that title much better than the CS series. Thinking back to all the bunny-hopping & Saiga frag fests puts a smile on my face. I don't think I could return though after playing BC2.
I only played the original Halo. Fun game for its day also.

No One Lives Forever, anyone?
And also, recently I played the first Quake on my Wii, thanks to someone who took the time to make a port for the game. It's better than I remembered it, perhaps due to the great implementation of the Wii Remote in the game. So, oldie doesn't mean worse, in fact, there are lots of old games that are still fun to play nowadays (Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Jedi Knight 1, and many more).

[citation][nom]kriswitak[/nom]Did anyone tell them that they can buy it for the PC and play it online?[/citation]

But it's for Vista, They probably have XP.

[citation][nom]imspecial[/nom]Good for them. Not letting the big corporations tell them what they can and cannot play. Just like any (older, or otherwise) pc games, user supported servers keep those games alive and doing well.[/citation]

Well... they could just shut down the servers and/or boot them. But they're being nice letting people stay on the game until they leave. It's pretty cool actually.

[citation][nom]pitch4d[/nom]Diablo 2 anyone???? Even older...[/citation]
Possibly my favourite video game.
I tried playing again recently, but I just couldn't bear 640x480 on a 2048x1152 triple monitor setup...

They probably know. First of all, Halo 2 for PC DOES require Windows Vista (or Windows 7) to play. A lot of gamers are probably still using older systems that cannot support these OS's. Second of all, I have Halo 2 for PC. The game play experience is HORRIBLE. It lags and I preferred it on the XBOX, myself and to be honest, I'm not a console gamer, really. I prefer the keyboard and mouse. There are more people playing Halo CE (Custom Edition) than there are playing Halo 2 PC, online.

AAAAAAA, I' loyal to Starcraft for the PC! I was loyal to KOTOR on Xbox, but when the rumors of Xbox live 1.0 dying I switched to PC.

Really I dont know exactly what the problem is with pc fanboys and hating console controllers. They gotta learn that playing on a console is way more confortable than playing on a pc(sometimes). For example, splinter cell was a nightmare to play on mouse and keyboard because the moving sensitivity was controlled by the mouse scroll and was a real pain, and in Assassins Creed, you had to do some painful button combinations. YES, pcs are better sometimes because the power and the reliability. But, when youre looking for something other thaan graphics(which seems to be the min problem with fanboys here), consoles sometimes win.

Im gonna get mauled lol :)

Amazing display of perseverance here.

I will refuse to quit CoD4. Like another comment said, leaving a game you've played for years is like leaving a part of your body.

Starsiege: Tribes is still hanging in there. Even has it's own fan dedicated server.

Now THERE'S an old game.
