Solved! Dell inspiration 600 wireless problem

I have a Dell Inspiration 600 laptop. When I connect wireless to the internet it shows that it is connected but does not find my home page which is "www.yahoo.com". I took it to a local PC shop while I was in travel and they were able to get it to connect through direct connection but not wireless. I really need the wireless as I very seldom get a direct connection available. I suspect that it is operator problem for something I did but have not been able to figure it out . any clues??? thans

You can try downloading the driver for the wireless card via dell's support site to see if that gets it going. If not, I suspect that the card is probably shot. You can get a new one and install it pretty easily through Dell.
