Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. The laptops BIOS is password locked. I tried to remove the password by removing the CMOS battery but was unsuccessful with the same. There is no switch next to the CMOS battery which could be used to reset the BIOS.
kindly help...!!!

no h3elp here. no idea if you stole it or not or won't help you access someones laptop you might not have access to. It's against Tom's rules.

FYI, laptop BIOS's are usually locked via chip, so the CMOS battery has no effect on it, nor does resetting it. Replace the EEPROM chip is the only way.

Actually, Dell uses a locking mechanism outside of the BIOS, so replacing your EEPROM is likely not to work.

If you need help unlocking your Dell, and are registered with Dell as being the proper owner, their technical support can help you over the telephone. If you are not in Dell's system as the registered owner, you are out of luck as far as their support is concerned.
