I need to know how to disable touch pad on my inspiron 1545 lap top???

Hello missmolly;

Your touchpad shows up in your system as a mouse and you can disable it.

Open the Control Panel, and then click Mouse.
In the Mouse Properties window:
Click the Device Select tab to disable the touchpad.
Click OK to save the settings and close the window.
